All the carnitas flavor without the excess fat from the fryer!
- 1/2 cup S&L's Sweet and Spicy Rub
- 1 Onion cut into large pieces
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1/2 cup Water
- 7-8 lbs Pork Shoulder or Pork Butt
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Trim access fat from Pork
Score the top of the pork with a knife
Add S&L's Sweet and Spicy Rub
Sear pork on all sides (Optional, but adds so much flavor!)
Cover and cook 8-10 hours on low or 6 hours on high until meat falls apart with a fork
For a variation you can add BBQ sauce and make amazing pulled pork sandwiches.
