Chaffle | Original

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese or your fav cheese but mozzarella works for sweet or savory
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 tbsp of Almond flour
Instructions
  1. Get a bowl, scramble the two eggs until they are all mixed up, then add the 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and 1.5 tbsp of almond flour.
  2. Once all combined and your dash (4inch) waffle maker is all warmed up
  3. Add some cooking spray to dash if you’d like and then put 3 tablespoons of the mix in the dash and close. Let it cook for 4 mins and then voila you have some yummy Chaffles!
Recipe Notes

This recipe came about due to my need for bread! Ok maybe not a need as much as a longing, carbs o carbs how I miss thee.

Since I couldn’t have bread I decided this was the best bet! Using the little dash waffle maker (seen here) you get the fluffy happy feeling of semi-bread! This is not the traditional Chaffle of 1/2 cup of cheese and one egg, because I felt it was too eggy, so I wanted to throw a little more substance to make them less eggy 🙂

Use these for sandwiches, by them selves with some butter, add some sugar free whip cream and make a waffle with your fav no sugar syrup!

These basic Chaffles are amazing and I hope you enjoy them!

Zucchini Chaffle
Makes 2-3 Chaffles depending on the egg size you use.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese or your fav melting cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 tbsp of Almond flour
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • Pinch of garlic powder or my house seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp of shredded zucchini
Instructions
Get a bowl, scramble the egg until They are all mixed up (queue 311 song ?? all mixed up don’t know what to do...oh wait sorry got distracted..back to the recipe)
  1. then add the 1/4 cup of mozzarella
  2. Then the 1.5 tbsp of almond flour
  3. The 2 Tbsp of shredded zucchini (I use a box grater to do this)
  4. The Tbsp of cream cheese
  5. And garlic powder or house seasoning and mix it up!
Once all combined and your dash (4inch) waffle maker is all warmed up

Jalapeño Popper Chaffle
I made these because who doesn’t want a little jalapeño in your life? I know I do! Let’s get to poppin !
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese or your fav melting cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 tbsp of Almond flour
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • Pinch of garlic powder or my house seasoning
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeño seeded if you’d like, I leave mine whole because I love spice and cut into rounds or cubes whatever you prefer.
Instructions
Get a bowl, scramble the eggs until They are all combined
  1. then add the 1/4 cup of mozzarella
  2. Then the 1.5 tbsp of almond flour
  3. Then add the jalapeño you cut up
  4. Add The Tbsp of cream cheese
  5. * If you’d like throw in some cumin like 1/8 tsp or a dash
Once all combined and your dash (4inch) waffle maker is all warmed up
Add some cooking spray to dash if you’d like and then put 3 tablespoons of the mix in the dash and close. Let it cook for 4 mins and then voila you have some you will be poppin’ these jalapeño popper Chaffles in your mouth in no time!
Recipe Notes

Make a sour cream and chipotle sauce to dip and ? add 4 tbsp of sour cream and one tbsp or chipotle sauce in a can and mix with a pinch of salt.
